Susan Johnson Art and Design

Have a show up at the Chilmark Library - up til this Thurs.  Group show with 2 other women who have artisan works : wampum mosaics and weaving. I have some shots of the show to post, and I still have to take shots of the individual works. They were so new before the show I didn’t have time! Four new ones ; all acrylic , abstract landscapes. Have more to come, plus I have these prints/ drawings percolating. I’ve wanted to do a series of prints for quite some time, and this winter should be the time.  My full time circ work at the library is done (was seasonal) and I’m working parttime on a digital archive about the Deaf Community in Chilmark in the 19th. Between that, and  worrying about getting more jobs - there are no jobs posting in the papers here - I’m just getting my self directed for what I want to do with next series. I feel so good about about having energy , motivation, and inspiration back for this, after having the creative block for so long. It’s going to be a whole new thing - the real thing!

Working on collecting a portfolio for applying to programs to become certified as an art intstructor, and for residencies and studio time as well. Digitalizing photos of artwork, and have to finish new works.
